Blog Guelph: Cow Love

The great lick, originally uploaded by timylee.

Greeting Guelphites and Blog Guelph lovers - seems love is in the air and and the heifers at the University of Moo are puckering up. Please kiss a cow today.

Today's foto fivesome are grouped together randomly - in a slice of life kinda way. I've sprinkled some news throughout the posts too - along with a You Tube video - cause I'm in a sprinkling kinda mood.

Must be the pending full moon - and the light yet glorious overnight rain.

Happy day. And for friends and family of Canadian artist Ken Danby, a sad day indeed.

Blog Guelph: Roof-ed Car

roof-ed car, originally uploaded by timylee.

Guelph student Timylee caught sight of this 'prank' at the University of Guelph's MacKinnon building yesterday.

Timylee writes, "ERTW'07, I wonder what it stands for"?

"Either to raise awareness for Equal Rights Towards Women, or most likely, a prank by the engineers, in which case, it would stand for Engineers Rule The World. "

Blog Guelph: Return of The Pond

return of spring, originally uploaded by timylee.

The pond and fountain at the Ontario Agriculture College Garden at the University of Guelph is determined to make way for spring. But as the water busts through winter's icy shield, let us not forget a key virtue of winter - no mosquitoes.

Blog Guelph is pleased to welcome photographer Timylee, a student a U of Guelph. Click the pic and check out his extensive collection of College Royal photos.

Blog Guelph: Pinwheel

assulted pinwheel, originally uploaded by timylee.

At first glance the plethora of pinwheels surrounding the University of Guelph's famous cannon look like spring flowers.

According to photographer Timylee, "each pinwheel is a statistical representation of undergraduate students who could potentially be affected directly or indirectly by sexual assault."

Does the coming of spring bring out more potential for sexual assault or is the timing of this undertaking coincidental to the season?
