Just out of the city to the north, Marden Creek meanders through parts of the Ignatius Jesuit Retreat property. A week ago, the creek was ice covered.

Blog Guelph: Wal-Mart ....Not There Please!
After a ten year battle, by thousands of Guelphites, trying to keep Wal-Mart from building between our cities 2 main cemeteries and beside our silent retreat centre/organic farm, the property is being prepared for the monster retailers arrival.
This link explains a last ditch effort to stop this development by our multi-faith community.
