The exhibit of 60 of the best photographs by young nature photographers in the Focus on Nature program will be displayed at Flo Studio, 260 Waterloo Avenue in Guelph from November 9 to December 9, 2014. An opening reception with many of the photographers in attendance will be held on Sunday, November 9 from 2pm to 5pm. Please RSVP if you'd like to attend.
During the exhibit, Flo Studio, home of Trina Koster Photography, will have the following hours available for public visits. Other times may be available by calling ahead: 519-767-2948.
Tuesday: 11am - 12:30pm
Wednesday: 11am - 6pm
Thursday: 10am - 12pm
Friday: 10am - 12pm
After the public exhibit the photographs will be hung throughout the hospital to forever brighten the lives of patients, visitors and staff alike.
“Thanks to the Hospital Foundation and many donors, there are 60 very proud young photographers who have discovered that their art can make a difference in other people's lives,” said Simon Bell, Focus on Nature’s Executive Director, “Exposure to nature, even in a well-composed photograph, enhances a sense of wellbeing and can promote healing.”
“I'm so pleased that these beautiful images will soon be on the walls of Guelph General Hospital ” said Suzanne Bone, CEO of The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, “The special project was funded entirely by donations from our physicians and midwives, and will be a lasting tribute to Richard Ernst.”
