I'm working on my wanna-see/go/do list for the weekend and here's how it's looking so far.
Missing Wednesday
According to their bio, Missing Wednesday formed in Guelph in the mid-eighties and "sounds like Foo Fighters, Finger Eleven, Colin James, Chickenfoot, and Treblecharger." They're playing Friday May 30 at 9 p.m. at Red Papaya.
Guelph Dance Festival
This annual event started today and continues throughout the weekend. At the very least I hope to check out the Dance Market on Saturday in Market Square and see one of the performances in Exhibition Park. The full schedule of events is available on guelphdance.ca.
Painting on the Green
Arts and crafts vendors in Old Quebec Street Mall Friday May 30 to Sunday June 1. Not sure why it's called "on the Green" when it's in a mall, but anyway, learn more about this event on visitguelphwellington.ca.
Guelph Farmers' Market
Over the past year or so I've only missed going a couple of Saturdays. Love the great selection of fresh produce. And it's hard to resist Fengs tofu mushroom dumplings... so tasty! Open 7 a.m. to 12 noon. For a list of vendors see guelphfarmersmarket.ca.
If you have any other recommendations leave a comment below. Have a great weekend!
