Blog Guelph: catgirl

Isn't this snapshot entrancing? Today on hoofbeats we played several chapters of Flying Changes by Sarah Sheard, and it struck me how dog focused her horse talk radio show readings were. This photo made we wonder if our superhero contributor also has an affinity for cats.  By the way, the Guelph Library has ordered her latest published novel, Krank, so, if you want to, you will be able to check it out soon.

The Pure Guelphishness feature this week was just one tune, by sort-of local Danny Michel, White Lightning, from the Live In Winnipeg Release. Did you know he's performing Mondays in Toronto this month? I'd love to see these lunchboxes at the merch table.

Today's radio show was also a good opportunity to acknowledge the music provided for hoofbeats show intros, outros and segment theme music - from almost locals Bob Wiseman, Andrew Coombes and Gordon Shawcross among others...

I hope you'll search out some of their work. Or, at least listen back to the podcast?
