Blog Guelph: Look Where You Want To Go

Happy Monday! Did you notice we rebroadcast an episode of hoofbeats this morning instead of programming a fresh Pure Guelphishness playlist for you? The horse talk radio show where Tannis Slimmon guested is a beauty worth hearing that's for sure.

The picture today is of the beautiful Hogdson sisters at Hillside this year. One of them is a bass player I recognize from Toronto days and the other is a partner of talented musical local I will tell you about at another time. I hadn't known they or recognized they were sisters until the official introduction as they were singing together.  I think the picture suits the theme of today's post. "Look where you want to go."

I was apprenticing this morning during a leadership workshop, using horses.  Look where you want to go is one of the things I found myself suggesting to a participant, leading a horse for their first time.  It's so true, in all aspects of horsemanship - driving, riding or even hand walking, if you look where you want to go, the horses will usually volunteer to support you in reaching the envisioned destination.

I am thinking today, how true the lesson rings in all aspects of life as well. And, I am trying to look where I want to go.  Are you?
