Blog Guelph: A Fine Step

This morning's Pure Guelphishness playlist (during hoofbeats radio) on 93.3fm featured Nick Craine. There's something about the above photo that reminds me of his illustration work.  Are you familiar with his comics? I have been a fan ever since checking out Hard Core Logo nearly a decade ago! But he also does editorial, portrait and other types of visual art, and is a much sought after conceptual artist who's drawings have helped his clients win business.

I found a musical album in the radio stn's local library released in 2000.  A fine step in his overall artistic path if you ask me.  Fellow musicians who supported him on this recording include other local heroes Nathan Lawr, Jeff Bird and Drew McIvor.

I hope you will take a moment to listen back in the archive at CFRU, or otherwise search out his music, and/or check out his portfolio on the website or blog, or follow him on twitter.  It would be a fine step to take. Enjoy!
