Blog Guelph: Inspired

may be, originally uploaded by downtownlynn.

A good, great Friday today.
I've missed the flicker of the Blog Guelph screen the past few weeks, so it's good to be back.

I'd like to let you know about a little project that will hopefully build into a community of heartfelt words laying Write on the Street.

Essentially it's this:
A walking community meets at the intersection of words, memory, and art.

I want to hear your perspective of Guelph as you see it while on foot. To read about the way you see your neighbourhoods, or other spots that move you to write. The ultimate goal of this project is to compile your stories, then take a tiny slice of some of them and literally WRITE THEM ON THE STREET. Everything will ultimately be documented, and then hand-mapped. This aims to be both a multi-generational and multicultural project.

Please send your words to culturemaven[@]

Get inspired this weekend!

On the other hand, you may be curious about what the City of Guelph looked like last October or maybe Spring.

Indeed you may be the type that would love to wade through our deep and refreshing archives. There are over 5,000 terrific Guelph photos, taken by a growing tribe of fantastic photographers, currently available for your viewing pleasure. Check out the Blog Guelph archives located 'back up there' and appropriately titled: Blog Guelph Archives.
