Happy Music Monday! In today's picture, I am asking the question, do you do enough dancing?
Now a resident of Guelph, Preetam Sengupta has a marvellous tune called Let's Go Dancing that is worth knowing... But I've yet to spot him on a dancefloor in our town. Is that because I don't go out enough or that he doesn't?
Do you?
I'm guessing we should all let our spirits move more. And that we all also need more tender, fragile, ethereal odes like he offers, more melodic, hopeful storytelling with a touch of melancholy. So I'm suggesting a listen....
I follow his facebook page for news like this: "i think my favourite shows are those that i get to play for students. called "smile for change," i talk to them about issues that pertain to them, ways they can overcome these issues, and how each one of them (us) has the ability to evoke change, to make a difference in the world."
Preetam hopes his style of music and performance might lead him to festival stages down the road, and he looks forward to making new friends along the way.
So, let's get dancing!
