Happy Music Monday!  Today I chose the photos to share while thinking of the Gayle Ackroyd album title, Women Be Wise.  Its from 2004, and I was surprised how rocking it sounded when we played a track of it this week on hoofbeats! radio yesterday morning.

Bonnie Raitt meets Sheryl Crow? Gayle Ackroyd is known for entertaining live shows that are a mix of cover songs and her original material, spanning a discography of 4 titles: Hard Luck Town, Anything But Blue, Women Be Wise, Give It All You Got.  An engaging bluesy roots music artist who has been hard to catch in Guelph with her guitar, Gayle will be performing this show with popular local musician, Scott Fitzpatrick.  Call 519-766-4663 to reserve at the advance ticket price $10.00 and guarantee your seats at Magnolia Cafe, a wonderful venue for food, live music and drinks. (Tickets at the door $15)
You can tune in to Royal City Rag on CFRU this Saturday, March 23rd at 9am to hear more from this local musical talent that you really ought to know!
