Blog Guelph: End of the dock

End of the dock, originally uploaded by ICT_photo.

Even though it's snowing - again - I'm thinking about summer and particularly about getting out on the water - be it Guelph Lake or one of our lovely rivers.

Should you be a water baby, and are keen to try the sport of rowing, I can highly recommend joining The Guelph Rowing Club. The first registration date for 2013 is March 26 from 6.00 – 7.00PM.

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to blow this pop stand and visit a larger body of water when temperatures rise. In this case, did you know that all operators of recreational powered watercraft who operate within Canadian waters are required to have their Pleasure Craft Operator Card or Boat License, regardless of age, engine size, or length of boat? Well now you do!

Perhaps you're more of a canoehead? Check out the local river spring water flow details at the GRCA website before you set out.

Whatever floats your boat......
