I'm quite taken with Patty O'Hearn Kickham's (Memotions) fractal creations... a beautiful collection of art created from original photos, mostly using a fractal flame editor called Apophysis.

I experimented with fractals a few years ago myself, but the results weren't anywhere near as impressive as Patty's.
