The Royal City Crown in the Square!(unedited), originally uploaded by Patrick.Younger.Photography.
I know, I know, proper summer doesn't arrive until the solstice, but I have the sweet feeling that today will feel just like it in so very many ways.
Take this for example, the Downtown Guelph Business Association (DGBA - my perch)
launches our Noon Hour Concert Series in St. George's Square today. We're kicking it off with a nod to Italian Heritage Month - as well as the first day of the Multicultural Festival - with Coro Cantitalia.
Coro is a choir of Italian seniors, and when they perform there can be anywhere from 25 of them to 70. They are delightful. They are a true slice of Guelph History.
Almost to juxtapose this, I've added some shots by the fresh Patrick Younger. Dancer and cool pic-taker, this cat knows the scene downtown.
May you have many first days of summer.
