Blog Guelph: Art Is Everywhere

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

Sue and I have changed blogging days, and I am going to be leading the week off every Monday.

Today, I have decided to focus on the art we see everyday. Most of the time we walk by it, ignore it, and even fail to recognise that it has artistic value.

I spent yesterday morning at McLean's Auto Wreckers, and it was really eye opening for me. There was an insane amount of rust and decay, and otherwise completely useless rotten vehicles.

But, as I walked, and explored and let myself see, everything started to have beauty.

The rusted chains, and the peeling paint, and all the broken glass took on a life of its own. It was amazing to see all the art waiting to found at this big old junkyard.

Today, open your eyes. Slow down. Notice the things around you. There is art everywhere just waiting to be found.

See you next week!
