Blog Guelph: Trying To Find The Magic

Happy Tuesday Blog Guelph!

It seems Christmas is coming very quickly, whether I like it or not. The days are flying by, and the amount of things I have to get done is a little bit overwhelming. Slowly, I am getting through it though.

The problem is, this year I am not feeling any of the Christmas magic.

By magic I mean that feeling that used to reside withing me as a kid. The joy and happiness that made Christmas so special. Somehow, it seems to be missing this year. I'm not sure if it is because I am getting older, or because I resent the over commercialized retail event Christmas has become. Either way, I'm not feeling it.

There are aspects of the season that make me smile though. Baking gingerbread cookies with my kids, and the glow of Christmas lights. I love pretty little Christmas tree balls, and of course the smiles on my kids faces when we talk about Christmas. I look forward to these small joys. They make Christmas worthwhile to me.

How about you? What do you like about Christmas? What are the things that make it worthwhile to you?

See you next week,
