We know that Guelph is a great place to live and that it is full of creative folks. An added bonus is how generous these local folk are. Take the images from today's posting. The members of The Guelph Photographers Guild banded together under the leadership of Karen Brodie to work on the Help Project, a brilliant idea that helps individuals have professional portraits who would not normally have access to such an indulgence. Members of Community Living Guelph Wellington, were treated like royalty as the cosmetology teacher from College Heights came also to volunteer her skills.
This was a fabulous event and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to members of the Guild share their experiences. It was heartwarming to hear about all of the great stories and fantastic people who sat for their portraits. Talk about an example of what goes around comes around. How inspiring to all of us!
Check out the posting from Doug J England to read his take on being a volunteer photographer.
Cheers!
