Blog Guelph: To Every Day There Is A Ritual (3) by Aidan M.D. Ware

Driving is another fascinating ritual. The trip to work, the trip home. Stops in-between. It gives me the sense of things changing; new landscapes; of possibility. If I'm upset, the first thing I do is go for a drive. It's soothing. And more often than not, I'll be breaking the echo of my computer keyboard with some Johnny Cash or Fleetwood Mac, or if I'm feeling rebel enough, Bob Dylan. It allows me to just be, to feel free, to move, to sing. And I love it.
