Blog Guelph: Coffee
My precious coffee in hand I thought this morning to wander through Francesca's photo stream for her lovely food shots. (You'll find them if you click.) This coffee cup stopped me. How elegant it is!
Later today, when everyone else is probably doing the same thing, I am going to finish my shopping. This will be easy buying of neighbourly gifts. Food, is easy.
I hope you're able to totally enjoy a warm beverage today. I think mine is right now. :)

Blog Guelph: Star Bright! Too Bright!
I have never been one to panic at this time of year. If it gets done, or if it gets bought, then so be it. If I don't manage to get to it, then what odds.
I am looking forward to some rest where I don't have to go here or there, and just sit. Sit, and maybe have a game of crib. It's my new favourite game. All the years I could have been playing when my brother or mother were, are wasted. There is now, and I'm loving it!
Have a great day!

Blog Guelph: Planet Bean, I am on.
Do you know what first gets me out of bed in the morning? Well, besides a crying cat. It's the taste of coffee. I even think about it before I go to bed. I don't drink a lot of coffee during the day. There's possibly one other later in the morning, but always, always there is one at this time right now. I like an espresso based coffee, with almond milk, and that is it. Mmmm.
Have a great day everyone!

Blog Guelph: Bad Santa
We all have our shadow side it seems!
HoHOho.

PS. Do remember to breathe this week. And perhaps edit your list down a notch so you don't go insane.
Just saying.....

Blog Guelph: Happy Holidays!
The dog is here!
Let frosty sports begin!
This is my dear friend Zuma - a lovely Labradoodle that lives down the street. Her winter loving enthusiasm can thaw the most frozen heart - not that your heart is frozen already.
For you folks that like frosty sports, I'm told there are 31 natural outdoor ice rinks being created throughout the city. Check out this City of Guelph link for maps to the locations. A few might be up and running this weekend.
Stay cool, calm and collected Christmas shoppers. It's not the gift that matters. It's the spirit of giving that holds the magic.

Blog Guelph: black and white
Paula asked me to put a post up for her today. I'm thinking she is either saving the world or off to the mall. (Buffy quote, sort of)
I got to thinking about Buffy, and my favourite quote from the series has to be, "I'm cookie dough. I'm not done baking. I'm not finished becoming who ever the hell it is I'm gonna turn out to be. I make it through this, and the next thing, and the next thing, and maybe one day, I turn around and realize I'm ready. I'm cookies. And then, you know, if I want someone to eat m- or enjoy warm, delicious, cookie me, then that's fine. That'll be then. When I'm done."
There are so many to choose from. It's such a well written show. I miss it.
And here's a bunch of photos from Paula! Yay!

Blog Guelph: Let It Snow!
I saw several neighbours hauling home their Christmas trees on the weekend - which I get but don't do. I have a hard time cutting down dead trees, let alone living ones.
If anyone else out there is in my shoes, you might be game to sign up for a living Christmas tree this year. It is a fundraiser for the Plant An Old Growth Forest Project, which aims to restore about 100 acres of the original forest at the Jesuit Centre.
Check out this story in the Guelph Mercury for all the tree details.
Enjoy today's woody collection of great photos. You've got to love trees!

Blog Guelph: Pooched Pumpkin Patch
Trouble is brewing at the Guelph Farmers Market! Before you set out tomorrow morning, check out Mayor Farbridges' Blog about the new, temporary location and the situation in general. But don't avoid going. The vendors need your loyalty to get through this rather poorly plan disruption.
May your day be ho, ho, jolly.

Blog Guelph: light
Eeep, I missed posting today. How could I think it was friday this morning?!
I went to the mall today, and if you're looking for knitted little pet blankets and stuffed socks of catmint, check out the humane society booth. It was tempting to buy the whole box of wee socks.
have a great night!

Blog Guelph: Owl
I have dropped the ball on the post about the etsy sellers in Guelph. I'm swamped, and I don't think I'll have time to get through all the sellers and write a proper post. I encourage you to look through the links on the left. I am so happy they are posted in one spot.
Well the sun is shining and that's a great thing. I hope you're able to enjoy it, and these great shots posted today. Check out Jude the dog, below!

Blog Guelph: Abstraction distraction
I'm not sure if Kim's photos have been featured on Made in Guelph. I know Paula really likes Kim's photos, but googling gives me nothing.
There is no reason she can't be featured twice then. Right? :)
Click on the photo above and read that this photo all started with a shot of Old Quebec Street. Cool. Very cool.

I'm thinking of gifts, and I'm thinking handmade this year. I say that quite often, and a lot of times it's more half and half, with store bought being the other half. Maybe this year, three quarters will be the handmade. Tomorrow I'm going to compile, or maybe tonight because it looks to be a lot of etsy links to the left, and post what I would like to give and get this year.
Be sure to leave a note here, or email one of us to get your link posted, if you have an etsy site, or big cartel, or if you sell off your blog.
Have a great day everyone!

Blog Guelph: Christmas ... pfft
There once was a dog in a hat.
Who didn't like this or that.
He stuck out his tongue,
Seeking a plum.
But instead was given a pat.
May your day be jolly.
