Blog Guelph: Random Act of Kindness Day

01 008, originally uploaded by rubberschmuckie.

The Guelph Community Foundation
would like Guelphites to do something kind for someone today - this being World Kindness Day after all. If you're not sure what you can offer, both websites have kindly provided lots of friendly suggestions that range from opening a door to raking leaves to sharing your professional advice.

Of course giving is one part of the equation but so is receiving. Should you be the recipient of kindness today, please practice gracious acceptance. This in itself is an act of kindness.

On that note, I'd like to thank Donna and Paula for the wonderful creative energy that they bring to Blog Guelph every week. It's always a pleasant experience to view their photo selection and read their take on the state of the universe. My pinch hitter Downtown Lynn still lends a hand on occasion - she always bright and full of fun - me appreciative for the blogging relief she provides.

Of course none of us could publish a photo blog if it weren't for the many talented picture takers and Guelph Photography Club members that find interesting nooks and crooks in Guelph to photograph. You've managed to take and we've post 5,788 images to date.

Holey Crap Batman.

So then - go forth with kindness in your heart. Your actions have the power to transform someones day.

Sue Richards
