Blog Guelph: Rows

, originally uploaded by PaulaRussell.

Did you miss me?

I left Newfoundland late last week while they were just peeking into Fall. It's amazing that two and half weeks has Guelph changing colours and in the throes of Autumn.
I really didn't want to leave Newfoundland, and if I could plop all the bits I love about Guelph and the friends I have here, and oh the job too, I'd be there right now. Sure the drive is horrendous, and I swear each time I climb out of the car after a 10 hour stint, that I will fly next time, everything is worth it when I see the rocky beach and the boggy marsh.

Anyway, bear with me, while I stumble around Blog Guelph and catch up with all the fab photographers Guelph has to offer.

Today I have six photos from Paula. I've been lucky enough to get to know her and I'm telling you Guelph is also lucky to have her. She is quite the champion of other photographer's photography, and she will be the first to tell you anything she knows. She's honest and friendly and eloquent and she's damn smart.
She uses film, and well that part is what had me fauning over her photography for so long. From start to finish in her process she is involved. I say this about her film photography AND now her iPhone photos. The 6 photos featured here today are just that. Fantastic, eh?
I really could go on and on about her consideration for her subjects, and you just know that every photo posted on her flickr account is intentional. Don't you want to go through her discarded shots?? I know I do!

I hope you all have a great day, and I hope you'll pop on over to Paula's stream and poke around.
