Blog Guelph: The Joy of October

, originally uploaded by Denim.

Today's selection of photos are both current and nicely aged - but all show off the colours of Autumn in our fair town and the talent of the shuttle bugs that took them.

I have a couple of links to share on this fine Friday.

Tonight is the first show of Guelph's Home Routes Concert Series featuring Spook Handy!

The performance takes off at 7:30, at the Unitarian Congregation of Guelph at 122 Harris St.. It is an intimate venue, very comfortable for both the performer and the audience ... a great way to experience live music! This is a family-friendly event... $15 per person (kids under 12 are free!)

For a fun out of doors experience, join mushroom enthusiast Ian Dubelaar on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3 from 2pm-4pm for an introduction to the fungi in our extended family. Ian will introduce the fungi and discuss their important role in keeping the family functioning! The walk will take place on the east side of Highway 6 at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre of Guelph. Please park at the end of the laneway at 5441 Hwy 6 North (look for the old silo).

I hope the images of the day inspire you.

Fall leaves fall fast.

May you be amazed.

Sue Richards
