Blog Guelph: Passing Rain

Passing Rain, originally uploaded by M.N.D.B..

I woke up this morning, thinking and saying out loud, why can't it be Saturday. More sleep, I need more sleep, please!

Anyway, up I am, and I'm going to tell you about a dessert I made this weekend.
There are strawberries and ginger and icecream, and an alcohol called pimms. If you don't want to use pimms, I think a little orange juice and some grated peel would work. This is a dessert that is quick to put together and is a big wow in the taste department.

I made my own ginger syrup, and only because I couldn't find any in the grocery store. I did find candied ginger, which I normally have on hand for tossing in banana bread.

The first time I tried Pimms was downtown at Atmosphere in a drink with lemonade and cucumbers, on a scorching day.

Have a great day everyone! It looks to be a beauty!
