Blog Guelph: Dr. Goldfinch

Goldfinch Pair background, originally uploaded by Memotions.

Greetings gang,

Our springy Gem of the day features the wonderful work of Memotions - a fine photographer of our feathered friends. Click the pic to see another version of this delightful image.

I wish the pic came with a Goldfinch soundtrack - all the birds are overflowing with song, pretty much constantly around the city, as mating season officially takes hold. It's really something to hear. Tweet, tweet.

Spring does officially arrive this weekend - so allow me to offer some seasonal links.

Thinking - Spring cleaning - but not by your own hand? The lovely Rebecca at Green Sweep - a locally owned, environmentally sensitive cleaning company - will be happy to give you a quote.

Need a new spring play-list? Have a listen to CBC Radio 2 Drive for the best tune-age around. Let Rich Terfry be your guide and inspiration.

Need a Spring tonic for your heart? The monthly Guelph Poetry Slam, happening Saturday night at the EBar, is guaranteed to excite and rejuvenate!

Other than that - Happy Friday.
