Chris is now home from the hospital and Team Chris is in full steam coordinating all sorts of things needed to make the family living room a comfortable hospice and attending to the details and needs of the Iwanowski/Grady tribe. It is a meaningful and poignant time for all. Love is playing loudly in its full surround sound glory.
Lucky for you, I decided to take a look at our talented friend's Flickr profile - then quickly decided to publish the entire text. Chris' autobiographical account of who he is, what he does and how he fills his heart, sums up a kind and fun loving man.
Today's VW-Busman photo selection features Buddy - the 1978 Wonder Westie.
"Work: I'm a Project Manager and Founding Partner of Barking Dog Studios — a web development firm in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1996. Barking Dog Studios is a talented team of creative thinkers. Our web site design and development work focuses on accessibility (embracing web standards) and usability. Our clients are primarily in the educational, cultural and social change sectors.
Life: I'm the guy voted "Most likely to have a non-functioning aircoooled Volkswagen parked in his driveway". If I had a bigger garage, I'd probably just fill it with more old VWs!
Julia and I own a 1978 Westfalia Campmobile (named Buddy), which we've taken from coast to coast; a 1977 Westfalia, which supplies parts for the former; a 1968 Karmann Ghia Convertible (named Karmella), which doesn't get much use because it won't fit a baby seat; and a 1970 Transporter Deluxe, which is being restored as the "company bus".— you can check in on its project site to see how the restoration is going.
I blog mainly about VW Bus's and music on the Busman Chronicles.
I'm a father Alexander Dimitri (5 year old) and Anna Elise (1 1/2 year old) and partner of Julia Grady, mixed media artist, super-mom, catalyst for social change, pay-it-foward queen and co-conspiritor in Barking Dog Studios.
I'm also a self-confessed technology junkie. You'll rarely see me without my Macbook Pro 15 and Nokia N90 camera iPhone. I shoot the N90iPhone most commonly, a Canon G5, a Nikon 4500, a Nikon 990 historically and a Nikon D70sD90 when I want it to count."
May your day spill over with peace and love.
