I think this is the time of year I like the most. The ground is waking up, and the air is still cool, and the sun warm. There are so many things to notice right now. The sounds of birds attracting each other, and the colour of the fields changing almost before our eyes. I can almost smell the dirt walking on a path through the trees. Soon though. Another few days of sun, and I will.
The photos today are stunning together, aren't they?

I agree with all your reasons for liking this time of year, also the fragrance of mud after so many bottled-up weeks. For me, mud season is a close third to two other favourites: fruit blossom season, and honey sweet August.
Oh yes - fruit blossom season and honey sweet August. sigh.
