Blog Guelph: Monday is......Ironing Day

Welcome to the last Monday of November.

Yesterday I found this Guelph vintage "How to Iron a Man's Shirt" video clip on YouTube. It's a different, highly educational and perhaps a more quaint way to launch our week.

"Say ladies, it's ironing day at your house, but it can still be a good day."

~ Recorded around 1952, this 10-minute long 16mm film was produced by the Department of Public Relations of the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph and the Information Branch of Ontario's Ministry of Agriculture and Food. ~

May your day be smooth and wrinkle free.

Press on......

Hey!
I ain't no lady...and I iron with the kettle whenever necessary.

Who would have thought that over 50 years later this post would actually be useful to a man - certainly not the producers of the film! Now i actually have some inkling of how to properly iron my shirts. Thanks, 1950s and blogguelph!!!
