Blog Guelph: Corn

Playing with a Corn Field 5, originally uploaded by Monkey Hunter.

Now I realize that it may seem to you fine folk that we here at Blog Guelph are food fetishists, and you may be right.
But the abundance of the harvest begs not to be ignored, and besides, it's World Food Day today.

The UN is launching a campaign with the slogan, "The right to food: make it happen". Read all about it

.

One way to count our bountiful blessings locally is to consider a "partnership" of sorts with a CSA (Community Shared Agriculture). I'm aware of 4 in this area and know there are more out there. Some of them will just be beginning their winter shares right about now.
Local food a plenty...it's healthy, smart and yummy.

Ah, food, glorious food....
