Mark this on your calendar.

On Saturday February 24th, at 1pm, the city is hosting a complimentary event at the River Run Centre called Community By Design.

Here's the skinny according to the Guelph Civic League alert: "Don't miss this opportunity to join city councillors and planning staff for a look at the possibilities and pitfalls of rapid growth. The afternoon will be headlined by the Honourable Mike Harcourt, former premier of British Columbia and recipient of the Canadian Urban Institute's Jane Jacobs Lifetime Achievement Award, and John Lorinc, Globe & Mail journalist and author of "The New City," one of the most important books on city trends in years."

Register here - preferably today.Click

To recap this events details:

1. It is complimentary aka free for you.
2. It will be stimulating, [a cure for cabin fever and February blah's]
