Blog Guelph: Strawberries

Originally uploaded by Our Enchanted Garden.
For close to three weeks each year, starting in mid June, the fruit goddess looks down on the fine people of Guelph and deems it strawberry season.

Pick your own fields open. Strawberry Daiquiri parties erupt spontaneously in backyards throughout the city. Berries get captured and preserved as jam and local church ladies host strawberry shortcake teas for the community.

Our Enchanted Garden posted this photo on Flickr to remind us all that the season is upon us. Don't snooze or sadly you will loose.
